A Message from

Thomas Miloscia
 (SSPJ Class of 2011)

To the SSPJ Family,

Last April, I was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma cancer, and I would be lying if I said this last year has not been hard on my family and me.  Fortunately for us, we are part of a bigger family, and that's the Parish and School of Sts. Philip and James.  The support we received has been constant and meaningful, whether it be the donations, the prayers, or the steady stream of dinners brought to my house for my brothers and sisters while my mom and I are in Baltimore.  I have so many things to be thankful for in my life, and the beautiful, caring people of SSPJ are proof of that.

Have a blessed and prayerful Christmas Season and make sure to be thankful for every blessing God has put in your life.

                                                           Thomas Miloscia ('11)

Come, long-expected Jesus.  Excite in me a wonder at the wisdom and power of Your Father and ours.  Receive my prayer as part of my service of the Lord who enlists me in God's own work for justice.

Come, long-expected Jesus.  Excite in me a hunger for peace: peace in the world, peace in my home, peace in my heart.

Come, long-expected Jesus.  Excite in me a joy responsive to the Father's joy.  I seek His will so I can serve with gladness and love.

Come, long-expected Jesus.  Excite in me the joy, love and peace it is right to bring to the manger of my Lord.  Raise in me, too, sober reverence for the God who acted there, hearty gratitude for the life begun there, and spirited resolution to serve the Father and Son.

Attention Parents - Middle States Update

Sts. Philip and James School was accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in 2009.  Accreditation is designed to assist educational institutions enhance their ongoing performance efforts for the benefit of their students.  Sts. Philip and James School is now entering the process of re-accreditation which will take place in the Spring of 2016.  This two-year process will include a thorough examination of many areas including our mission, beliefs, instruction, and curriculum.  As part of this evaluation, we will affirm our strengths and propose action plans for improvement and growth.  We will keep our families advised as we move through this process and will be asking for assistance from parents along the way.  Sts. Philip and James School invites this process and believes accreditation to be important because our students deserve the highest level of educational excellence possible.
